It’s been a while since I’ve posted about food.
Mostly because Joe and I have started a new lifestyle and I don’t cook the way I used to anymore. I don’t bake much and our meals look different to be sure.
It took some serious retraining since the New Way is so counter-intuitive to the Old Way.
It’s been almost four months and I am used to it now. I’m also two pants sizes smaller, heartburn free, migraine free, and feeling overall healthier. So it has definitely been worth it!
I bet you’re asking me, “Ashley, what are you doing?”

Have you ever had the crazy idea to take your small children on a road trip?
Because really what could go wrong with tiny humans locked in a car for an extended period of time?
We have always been a family who travels via car so when the opportunity came up to attend Perfectly Posh’s Ultimate Day Away we decided to make it a family affair.
As such, all five of us took a road trip to Salt Lake City this past weekend.

One question strikes fear into the heart of many family cooks:
What’s for dinner?
I tell you, that question was the bane of my existence for a long time. Right up until I found meal planning.
I know, I know. Meal planning? Really? I can’t get behind that stuff.
It means research, and shopping, and knowing what I’m going to cook for an entire week – or in my case, month! I can’t make that kind of commitment! I like to eat out. I am not that creative. What if I get bored? It’s too hard.
